A Survivor’s Account: Lisa Plumb

In Soft White Underbelly’s 2023 interview My Parents Were Pedophiles—Lisa, Lisa Plumb describes both of her parents as pedophiles and recounts being taken as a child to Glen Eden nudist camp. Don Gordon was convicted of molesting Lisa Plumb, and she later testified against him in another trial. Gordon has multiple sex-offense convictions and is required to register as a sex offender; his wife is also required to register. Gordon was listed on a sex-offender Caution List. Speaking from her own experience, Plumb says: “It turns out nudist camps are magnets for pedophiles.” She now advocates making it illegal for children to attend nudist camps.

By August 2026, the interview had received more than 7 million views and approximately 129,000 likes on YouTube.

Nikki Craft became involved in the naturist movement in the 1980s. As she moved into its organizational and political circles, she began encountering and documenting cases involving convicted child molesters, child pornographers, advocates of adult-child sex, exploitative photography, coercion, and institutional responses she considered grossly inadequate. What began as a growing file of individual cases eventually became this research archive.

The purpose of The Nudist/Naturist Hall of Shame is not to claim that every nudist or naturist is an offender, or that every person named in the archive belongs in the same legal category. It is to preserve a documentary record of cases, correspondence, press reports, court material, organizational policy, firsthand testimony, and historical disputes that developed around sexual exploitation and accountability in nudist and naturist settings.

Craft’s investigations first appeared through The ICONoclast and N.O.P.E. — Naturists and Nudists Opposing Pornographic Exploitation — and were later gathered online as The Nudist/Naturist Hall of Shame. Many additional archival records are now being organized in the Nikki Craft Archival Project.

From the original site: “These pages document some, but not all, of the cases that alarm me. The Nudist/Naturist Hall of Shame more than documents the reasons why I disaffiliated myself.” — Nikki Craft

Children, Coercion, Photography and Sexual Exploitation

The archive repeatedly returns to one question: what happens to “freedom” and “body acceptance” when a child does not consent to nudity, photography, adult scrutiny, or the environment adults have chosen?

Historical Web Evidence

The original Hall of Shame homepage also documented how nude images of women, teenagers, and children were marketed, cataloged, traded, and rationalized on the early web. Some of the original commercial sites are gone. Surviving Wayback captures are retained here as historical evidence.

Legacy-link note: The old homepage contained additional links to commercial nudist directories, photography sites, “vintage nudism,” Health & Efficiency material, Helios Natura, Alessandra’s Smile, and similar sites. Several are now dead, redirected, or unreliable. They are not being presented as current recommendations. The surviving archival captures remain part of the historical research trail.

Researchers, former members, survivors and whistleblowers: preserve the documents. Keep newspaper stories, court records, organizational correspondence, newsletters, screenshots, dates, names, and contemporaneous notes. Documentation is what makes a record checkable.
