Child porn suspect out on bond

A man charged with 46 counts of producing or possessing child
pornography was arrested Friday and released on $10,000 bond.
According to the Prince George Sheriff's Office, Kevin Lewayne
Miller, 46, of the 100 block of Thrush Street in the Pond Ridge
Trailer Park, Prince George, was released and faces a hearing Oct. 3.
Miller had recently worked at White Tail Park, a nudist camp in
Isle of Wight County, according to Bob Ro[che], manager of the
campsite.  He said Miller was also a member of the American
								Association for Nude Recreation [AANR].
Ro[che] said he was aware of the charges Miller faced.
Miller has been indicted on 20 charges of producing child
pornography, a Class 5 felony, and 26 charges of possession of child
pornography, a Class 1 misdemeanor.  Miller also faces six charges of
								forcible sodomy[.]
Possession of child pornography can result in a maximum of 12
								months in jail.  Prod
ucing child pornography can result in a maximum
10-year sentence.  Forcible sodomy can carry a 5-year prison
sentence.  The alleged victim in the forcible sodomy case is less than
13 years old, according to court documents.  The incidents allegedly
took place between July 1 and October 1, 1999; police arrested him on
the sodomy charges March 28 but he was released several days later.
Ro[che] said he has testified as an expert witness in several cases
involving pornographic materials and mentioned that many times
"overzealous prosecutors" confuse pornography with "legitimate nudist
								pictures."
"If they were taken in a nudist environment" they are not pornography,
even if the pictures depict children under the age of 13, Ro[che] added.
The court indictments indicate police investigating the case confiscated
computer diskettes and film with pictures allegedly depicting children.
"It's not just my idea," Ro[che] added, mentioning that other courts have
upheld the idea of nudist photos as opposed to pornography.
Ro[che] said he wasn't sure if Miller was still a member of the nudist
								association.
Miller faces a jury trial Dec. 10 in Prince George Circuit Court.
